About the artist
Ouest France September 2007
Brazzaville, Nantes, New York, Dakar, from the banks of the Congo to those of the Erdre, Philippe Pfeffer‘s eye and brush have been imbued with a wide range of atmospheres, landscapes and urban ambiences.
The Philippetown exhibition, a pictorial compendium of these journeys, invites visitors to let themselves be disoriented in the heart of these cities. Each viewer will enjoy wandering through these canvases, just as they would stroll through the alleys of an unfamiliar city.
Whether placed on the ground or fixed to walls, these works exude the essence of cities in all their diversity and universality.
His oil paintings, his mastery of marouflage, his mixtures and combinations of colors and materials will surprise the eyes of the people of Nantes at the Manoir du Parc de Procé.
